Silken Damask cria #1

I’ve been meaning to get a picture of this little guy since he was born a couple of weeks ago but have always found myself at the Arena sans camera whenever I thought of it. The still unnamed boy will be at least bay black if not true black before we’re done. This was of course not the first time we’ve ever mixed these genetic lines. His dam, Vickiuni (still going strong at 16 years of age, BTW), rather famously had a black Snowmass Nova daughter, Victoria, when she first joined our breeding program in 2002. To put that all in perspective, Victoria now has grandchildren herself (CCNF Annabeth) in our program. With Damask being a Cameron son and a Nova grandson we thought we’d ask one of our old favorites in the foundation herd what she could do with the latest model of that illustrious family line? We are all quite pleased…
