Sales listings updated

Requiem's Matrix Majesty son strikes a pose last week.

So I have to confess that keeping up to date sales listings on our various presences on the web has not always been my, um…strong suit. Particularly this time of the year when between breeding and birthing  — which are pretty much a constant from May through October — it’s very easy to find other more engaging activities to partake in besides sitting here at my desk writing and/or revising sales copy and then cutting and pasting from one web site to another (there’s our own site, AN, and OpenHerd). Nonetheless, over the past couple of weeks while our kids were off at summer camp and I had a bit more time on my hands I bit the bullet, did the nasty, [insert you own euphemism here], etc…and got our farm’s online listings current and up to snuff, at least for the moment anyway. The listings on our own web site can be seen here, the listings on AlpacaNation here, and the OpenHerd site here depending on which flavor you prefer?

Most notably there are several females on the current sales list that have had crias born over the past 8 weeks or so and their listings now reflect that reality as well as detailing what our current or future breeding plans for them are. There are also several young maiden females who are now of age and will be selling specifically with their first breeding to Snowmass Elite Legend (that would be the Futurity (Light) Herdsire of the Year three years in a row now just in case you missed it) once he makes his reappearance here later in August after a yearlong sojourn at his birth farm in Idaho. Interesting stuff to be sure.

While some animals have had their prices revised downward, others have gone upward, and many have of course remained the same, all as we strive to properly valuate everyone here as they grow, develop, win awards, give birth, etc…It is admittedly an ongoing process by its very nature. The one thing that does not change throughout though is that we stand behind every alpaca which we sell, backing up our guarantees 100% regardless of  whether it’s an entry level production animal or a top of the line show champion that someone purchases from us. And please don’t take our word for it: ask around. For better or for worse after 15 years in this business one tends to have a reputation so feel free to judge of us on our merits and not just on what we say. Finally, if you do in fact find yourself in the market for new alpacas, please give our listings a long look and feel free to call or email us with any questions, we are always happy to talk shop!
