We want to thank the partnership of Barbara and Joe Crocco of Copper Star Alpaca Farm, Lennie and Sue Foss of Elf-Paca Meadows, and Chuck and Elaine Gerber of Woodland Meadow Farm Alpacas for their purchase of our young black Champion Herdsire, CCNF Skyhawk! The son of CCNF Marick, the 2014 AOA National Brown Champion and Judges’ Choice Huacaya Male who is now working his mojo at Alpakka Lista in Norway, Skyhawk was actually the “prove-out” pregnancy for his sire when we were getting ready to export him and wanted to see if he was firing live ammunition, so to speak. I guess you could say that it all worked out just fine!

Skyhawk has been turning heads since he first joined our show string last spring as one of just two black alpacas on a roster made up predominantly of browns, fawns, lights and whites. At the recently completed double Showtacular, he won both the Black Male Championship and Reserve Black Male Championship at the NEAOBA Fall Alpaca Show and the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza respectively, which were his 3rd Championship and second Reserve Championship overall since he first made his debut for us at the North American show in April. The grandson maternally of CCNF Royal Ring of Fire and paternally of our all-world Herdsire, Snowmass Matrix Majesty, he would have been hampered here long-term by the simple fact that he is related closely to the vast majority of females in the colored side of our breeding program. We very much look forward to seeing what he can do for his new owners though! Carry on young man…
