Open Farm Days

So this Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 4, we will be participating in AOBA’s National Alpaca Farm Days. Truth be told, it’s not going to be a whole lot different from any other weekend here on the farm except for the fact that we will have donuts, coffee, and cookies out and will be . . . → Read More: Open Farm Days

NAFD, a (small grey) changing of the guard, and other misadventures

What a whirlwind 4 days we’ve had here on the farm. Saturday dawned and the mountainside seemed to wake up in a cloud in more ways than one. Jen got home from the ARI conference in Houston, TX late on Sunday night, . . . → Read More: Dodging the trees as they come at us

CCNF Open Farm: It’s officially ON.

So after batting it around for a week or so and seeing how things looked around the area, we have made the call that we will go ahead with our participation in National Alpaca Farm Days, 9/24 and 9/25. Below you will find the blurb I also just posted to the “what’s new” section of . . . → Read More: CCNF Open Farm: It’s officially ON.

Random thoughts on the 1st of September

We had three boys born on Tuesday and then one little female born yesterday afternoon. That’s kind of a microcosm of our 2011 male/female ratio. Is there some kind of booby prize if by the end of the season we have 40 white male crias on the ground? C’est la vie.

Our youngest son’s club . . . → Read More: Random thoughts on the 1st of September

National Alpaca Farm Days

We are happy to announce that CCNF will be participating in this year’s National Alpaca Farm Days! We have been absent from that scene for a couple of years now dealing with other scheduled events so we are really looking forward to participating again. Though our experiences with open farm days (whether organized by AOBA . . . → Read More: National Alpaca Farm Days
