Boys’ trip to Lancaster/Gettysburg, day 2

Max, Sam, and Chris Lutz pose in front of the Vermont Monument on the Gettysburg battlefield.

Not a whole lot to say right now, I’m a touch overwhelmed by all that we learned today. To those that would like to come here at some point, I highly recommend one of the bus tours that run out of the visitors center. Not only was it deeply informative and educational but the mere fact that it held the attention of my 10 year old for 2 hours speaks volumes about the humor and energy of the guide. I suspect this is one of those experiences that will live with him and his older brother for the rest of their lives. The fact that they have gotten to experience it all with the contagious energy of my dad along for the ride just makes it all that much better.
