Cas-Cad-Nac Farm’s Consignments at the 2010 National Elite Alpaca Auction: Lot #7 CCNF Amoror

CCNF Amoror is the next in line in of our auction animals at the upcoming NEAA and we are obviously very proud of any Herdsire that we would place in the much vaunted #7 spot in the sale order! As his catalog description alludes to, one of the major reasons we are able to let a male of his caliber go—and a SuperNova son no less just three months after losing his sire—was the arrival of TKO’s King of the Ladies. What isn’t said in his description though is that equally important in the weighing of whether or not to put Amoror into this year’s Elite Auction was the arrival into our ranks of one Snowmass Elite Legend, his maternal uncle. At the time that we were coming up with our potential boys for the sale (and more importantly writing copy for the catalog) negotiations for the acquisition of SEL were still in a state of flux. Hey, I’m a life long Red Sox fan. Needless to say that no one understands the potential of jinxing a good situation by saying something prematurely more than a Boston fan. Now you know though! CCNF Amoror, July 2010

We are proud to present the 2009 AOBA Light Composite Color Champion! Amoror represents the first CCNF melding of the genetics of Snowmass Quechua with those of our legendary and talismanic Herdsire, SuperNova. The result is a young male who combines the outrageous fleece density from his dam, Accoyolove, a female whose genealogy reads like a directory of alpaca royalty, with the amazing brightness and consistent stapling we’ve seen so often from the SuperNova line. We were so enamored of the cross when this guy was born in fact that we bred Amoror’s older maternal sister, Love Angel, to last year’s National Elite headliner, CCNF Talon (another SuperNova son), with one of our few reserved breedings before we had to ship him off to his new home in the UK. So given all of that why would we not keep Amoror for use in house? Only the arrival of the 2010 White Futurity Champion, TKO’s King of the Ladies (a SuperNova grandson we now co-own with Hilltop Alpacas) into our breeding program allows us to sell this excellent young Herdsire. SuperNova, who passed away in July, was held very closely and was never offered for outside stud service throughout his life. If you are looking for that rare and elite light Herdsire that can take your program to another level you need look no further!
