CCNF Chronicles going on a temporary hiatus

We are taking our boys on a trip to the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador, leaving later today. It’s a trip that my parents took me on when I was a little bit younger than Max is now and to say it left an impression would be an understatement.  The islands and their flora and fauna are quite literally unlike any place else in the world.

Though I had hoped that I would be able to post some stuff at least while away, it seems that I have finally encountered that rarest of of places in the 21st century: an internet-free zone. Though I could theoretically have brought my laptop and activated the international features of my USB modem, the idea of paying $4-$6/MB for the privilege of downloading lots of spam somehow fails to excite the imagination.  Normal blogging/spewing will return on 6/28 when we get back.

Kimberly, who will be holding the fort in our absence, is thankfully only dealing with a group of (imminently) due females that is now 4 deep. Were we to leave her for such an extended period in July or August though she might well disown us as the crias will start flying left and right later this summer. A happy early Summer Solstice to you all!
