Quechua Benefit Charity Auction in Nebraska Tomorrow!

For those of you that might not be aware, the Quechua Benefit will be holding its annual charity auction and dinner tomorrow evening in conjunction with the Futurity. This is the organization’s major fundraising event of every calendar year and with the donated help of the good folks at Celebrity Sales they will be auctioning off several very cool  — some alpaca related, some not at all — lots with all proceeds going to help fund the Quechua Benefit’s vital work in Peru. I will freely admit that I feel some trepidation about this, though if Mike, Al, and Wade really want to bust a move for charity I suppose that’s something we should all get behind!

On a personal and somewhat self-serving note please also be sure to bid on the King of the Ladies breeding that we are donating to the Quechua Benefit along with our friends at Hilltop Alpacas. At last year’s QB auction no one was paying attention and a donated breeding to Archangel (who is no longer offered for outside service!) went for less than $2,000. Arch is clearly crap which is why his son won the White Male Championship two days later.
