First Look: CCNF Priam’s Campanita – Lot #2 at the 2022 Futurity Sale!

So, here we go. After a 3 year hiatus, courtesy of a certain global pandemic, we are headed back to Kansas City, MO and the Futurity Show & Sale for the first time since the spring of 2019. While we are obviously excited to be taking part again, the logistics of training the juvenile half of our show team (ongoing since weaning commenced in January), making sure we have all of the help we need (our boys having rightfully arsed-off to careers in aviation and a junior year in college respectively, as if there was anything more important than showing alpacas…oh), and the planning, care, transportation, housing, and feeding of both the 4 and 2-legged army required to pull this off again, means that there will be little rest between now and the first week of April. It’s all good though.

Front and center for us in Kansas City, will be the three females we have elected to consign to the 2022 edition of the Futurity Sale. First among them is the lovely CCNF Priam’s Campanita, at lot #2 in the sale order. While I won’t prattle on about her too much here (that’s what the link on her name is for), suffice it to say that were she not special and very legit, simply put, we just wouldn’t bother. To put it rather succinctly: 25 years into this dog and pony show, we’ve got better things to do and bigger fish to fry then to waste our time, or anyone else’s for that matter, promoting animals we don’t believe in. The fact that our ’22 Futurity team is apt to include both Campanita as well as her older maternal sister, CCNF Carillon (you can read about her in Campanita’s description on our OpenHerd pages and why she most likely is a tasty harbinger of how to breed her little sister), speaks volumes. Please check Campanita out!
